Snoop, 50 Cent sue Philly car dealer

Philadelphia Herald Wednesday 31st August, 2005

Snoop Dogg has filed suit against the same Philadelphia car dealer that 50 Cent is suing for using his image in ads without permission.

Snoop filed a trademark infringement complaint against Gary Barbera Enterprises on Aug. 22, three days after 50 Cent filed his nearly identical suit, AllHipHop.com reported Wednesday.

Snoop's suit says the dealer ran ads in the Philadelphia Daily News using his picture along with the words: Is Bar-Bizzle the Sh-izzle? Boy I Gu-izzle.

Snoop's suit seeks more than $2 million, while 50 Cent's suit asks for $1 million in damages.

A spokesman for the dealership said they had had permission to use 50 Cent in their ads and they were working it out with Snoop, AllHipHop.com said.
