BEIJING, China: The National Health Commission said China recorded 35,183 new COVID-19 infections on 25th November.
This figure, a new record for the third consecutive day, is higher that 32,943 new cases from one day earlier.
Excluding imported cases, China reported 34,909 new local cases on November 25.
However, no deaths were reported, with total deaths at 5,232.
Mega-cities, such as Chongqing and Guangzhou, continue to struggle to contain outbreaks.
Also on November 25, Chongqing reported 7,721 new local cases, a 20 percent increase from the previous day, while Guangzhou reported 7,419 new cases, slightly down from 7,524 cases one day earlier.
According to figures released by local health authorities, new cases in the capital Beijing jumped 58 percent to 2,595 on November 25.
